Overview

Cerro Gordo is a shore dive at the public beach in Vega Alta, known for unusual rock formations along the shoreline. Reef with soft and hard corals mixes with sandy bottom, and sea turtles, stingrays and manatees have been reported. Recent listings give a maximum depth of about 20–25 ft (a 1998 guide gave 20–30 ft), and visibility of 10–20 ft is reported.[1][2][3][4]
